Devil May Cry is a franchise that revolutionised hack-and-slash gaming back when it first released in October 2001 for the PlayStation 2. Since then, the series has seen several sequels that varied in quality, but ultimately still provided some of the most exciting and engaging gameplay to date. Dante isn't the main character of Devil May Cry 4. Instead, the main character is a new guy named Nero. It worked out, since you get to also play as Dante later in the game anyway. Graphics: The least important aspect of any game. This game has incredible graphics. The cutscenes are awesome too. A huge improvement from Devil May Cry 3.

Ninja Theory hasn’t exactly had the smoothest development process for this latest installment in the Devil May Cry franchise. Upon the game’s reveal, the massive fan-base for this long running series cried foul when a younger Dante was introduced for the first time.
