Iwas 52/56/60 guy. Out of curiosity, I went to 52/58. did not like it. came back to 50/56/60 liked it. But, I wanted to make my short game simple. So, I came to pw/54/60. pw- 100-135 54- 80-110 60- anything inside of 80. with this setup, I lowered 2 stroke. And I gained good skill to adjust distance with my wedges.
PostedJanuary 10, 2023. I went to a 54* over a 56* about three years back and the only differences have been positive. Those 2* don't make a lot of difference. With most "players" irons these days going with a 45/46* pitching wedge, and the desire to maintain 4* gaps, the 50/54/58 setup just makes sense. 2.
