1. Excellent reliability, unless you're one of the 31 unlucky souls that got lemons. 2. ~50cc and FI. 3. The SE is a 950, butt it works fine for long distances, if you don't mind a bit of wind blast (no fairing), and stopping every 150km, or so, for petrol. The Adventure would be the better choice for the road.
The PROBLEM is being I don't think you can believe the in-built consumption figures. I recorded the best day at: 5.6l/100km = 50mpg (UK gallon) Worst day: 41.5mpg. Average over 7k miles was 6.2 = 45.5mpg. However, I routinely got 250 miles distance (GPS) out of a tank which is 54mpg - so I agree with Phill!! Or close enough.

KTM developed a better but more complicated and expensive solution for the Duke and 950s, the EPS system. Does exactly the same thing but - as we all know - can be deactivated in a second. An all gear run on the Dyno with a CV carbed bike immediatly reveals if the slide speed is right. On the 950 it's spot on.

I am an unapologetic fan of KTM’s 950/990 Adventure platform, so I’ll start with the T7. This bike feels like someone took a 950, stuck it in a dryer with a bunch of softener, and set the temp to shrink-wrap. Yamaha’s T7 has similar ergos and overall feel as the original 950, but in a much smaller and more manageable package.
