As a matter of fact, only just recently purchased a zoom faster than f4 this September (the Sigma 24-35 f2) for covering action indoors - but before that, I was delivering acceptable results at these focal lengths indoors using the 24-105 on an RP. Beware that there are two RF versions of the 24-105, and the above only applies the f4L version.

How does a R6 & 24-105 f4 setup feel for traveling? Moving away from my current a7iii - 28-75mm lineup. Incredibly light setup for FF. I’ve gotten to hold the r6 ii which feels pretty nice. The lens comes in at 670g which is pretty light considering the old EF mount zooms were in the 900g ranges.
I would chose the Canon RF 24-240mm lens instead. I feel it performs comparably to this lens in the same focal range, but gives you a little higher performance at the 70-105mm range due to a lower aperture. I also would appreciate the extra 100+mm of zoom it affords. The next question is, how does this stack up to the RF 24-105mm f4 L?
